A person mainly from underdeveloped and developing countries eagerly waits to get a job opportunity in United States. This is because this country is full of opportunities for people from various fields. This is because of better job opportunities compare to home country. As a result, a number of temporary visa schemes have been opened for this purpose. H1B visa is one such type of visa meant for professionals only. However, when issued for the first time, this visa is valid for three years only and is approved by the United States Embassy to allow professionals to work freely in US.

H1B Visa Approval:

To get for H1B visa one has to apply for the visa in the American embassy with necessary documents and information that is required. The official processes this form and finally approves the appeal, if and only if all the criteria are satisfied by the applicant.

H1B Visa Stamping Procudure:

Only getting approval of H1B visa is not the ultimate step to enter into a foreign country like United States as a working professional. The H1B visa is needed to be stamped, which gives the ultimate power to enter into that country as a professional. In real words, the stamping of H1B visa is actually, an authorization needed to enter foreign country like USA. However, the Department of States of United States allows stamping of those H1B visa in the passport, which is valid for at least six months from the date of stamping. H1B stamp is not available within United States; they are issued outside United States by United state’s consulates situated in the home country of the applicant. Besides H1B stamping the applicant has to undergo a medical checkup. Before the final stamping of H1B visa one should appear in front of united state’s consulates for interview, and it the officials gets satisfied by the need of the applicant then only the H1B visa is finally stamped.

Important Documents Necessary for H1B Stamping:

  1. A non-immigrant DS-156 application form is needed for each applicant and the form should be properly filled up and signed.
  2. A DS-157 form should be submitted by properly filling it.
  3. Passport of each applicant should be submitted and should have validity of at least six months from the date of application.
  4. A passport sized photograph of each applicant.
  5. The H1B visa approval receipt must be submitted. This is the most important requirement.
  6. Petition application form of H1B visa.
  7. The labor application form should be signed by “Department of labor organization”.
  8. A supporting letter from the employer informing position, salary level and the type of business should be submitted.
  9. The form I-129 AND H1 documents should be submitted.
  10. The experience certificate of the employer should be submitted.
  11. The curriculum vitae of the applicant should also be submitted along with the originals certificate for verification.
  12. “Social security number” and foreign address of the applicant should also be submitted.
  13. The processing fees for stamping and bank records of last six months should also be submitted. However, this processing fee is not refundable.
